Alpine garden Tyrol

In the midst of the Tyrolean mountains is the unique alpine garden, where the alpine flora can be discovered and experienced in a family-friendly and barrier-free way.

Visitors are guided through the garden in a nature-friendly manner via wooden footbridges suitable for wheelchair users. In addition to a guidance system for the blind, a web app was also developed with which children and adults can access interesting facts about alpine plants in German and English – alpine edutainment for everyone!

Together with the barrier-free Hahnenkammbahn, the panorama restaurant, the circular route around the mountain lake and the two-kilometre-long hiking trail to the Lechaschauer Alm, a unique wheelchair-accessible and family-friendly leisure experience at 1800 m above sea level has been created.
Barrier-free experience

Mascot and web APP "Spieli" our companion

The new mascot "Spieli" not only accompanies visitors in the newly built "Alpengarten Tirol", but also the "Spielhahn" located on the "Hahnenkamm" leads over the barrier-free Dammkronenweg of the reservoir and the summit circular path to the Tälerblick4. From there you can see impressive views of the "four valleys" (Tannheimer Tal - Lechtal - Zwischentoren- and the Reutte basin).

Simply scan the QR code of the Alpengarten app with your mobile phone directly at the Alpengarten Tirol and find out everything you need to know about the “Aconitum napellus – blue monkshood”. Spieli tells not only children but also adults in his funny language the story of the silver arum and many other interesting alpine plants.
